Renault has been commercially established in Morocco since 1928, it is the main leader of the Moroccan car market providing its vehicles under the brands of Renault and Dacia. Already holder of a production unit in Casablanca (SOMACA), the Group Renault has launched in 2008 building a vast industrial complex in Tangier. The new site, located on a plot of 300 ha in the Special Economic Zone of Tangier Mediterranean, will include an assembly plant with access to the Port of Tanger Med. The new site’s main mission is to supplement the manufacturing of economic Renault vehicles called Logan.
